ORIENT TRAVEL is a Bulgarian incoming tour operator, licensed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Trade and Tourism (License No. 1460). It is registered on 20.06.1995 at Sofia City Court - Company File No.10597, Commercial register I, No.25504 as a limited liability company, with appointed General Manager - Mr. Stefan Tonchev.

Established in 1995, as a DMC, initially with a focus on servicing incoming travelers from the Middle East and Gulf countries, ORIENT TRAVEL soon expanded its efforts in operations in the travel markets of Europe and the Scandinavian countries, the USA and Russia, where the company established active and resourceful business relations with local tour operators and travel agencies.

George Tonchev has graduated BA at University of Portsmouth program in IU Sofia, Bulgaria in 1997 and works in the company ever since. He is now a Senior Manager, dealing with online marketing and sales, and new travel products development.

Milena Lesichkova holds a Masters degree in Accounting and Control but has also specialized in Management of Congress and Meetings. After working a few years in the Executive Environmental Agency she joined our team in October 2006 as sales executive, engaged with customer service and contracting.

Veselka Nedyalkova's career in tourism started years back in 1970 as a secretary of the Deputy Minister of Tourism in Sofia and evolved into an expert in the West Germany Dept. and later in the Advertising Dept. in the State-owned Balkantourist. After the democratic changes in 1989 Veselka continued with the travel business in several private tourist enterprises. She now holds a Product Development position in Orient Travel, engaged in the development of the outgoing destinations.

Per Kvarnes is a Norwegian who has long been involved with Bulgaria. After years working as an Art Director, photographer, copywriter and journalist in Norway, he settled in Bulgaria in 2003. Now he works as a freelance in Orient Travel Ltd. helping on the Scandinavian market.

"After my first visit in Bulgaria, back in 1986, I fell in love with this Balkan country and its warm people and I knew this is the place I'd like to live. There is so much to see and experience. I found true friends, good beer and pretty women and here I am now, a genuine Bulgarian from Norway."
