DAY 1 - Arrival in Sofia – Overnight in Sofia in 3 stars hotel

Depending on time of arrival – a short bus city tour of Sofia. (Lunch and free time) Dinner.
Overnight in 3 or 4 stars hotel in Sofia.

DAY 2 - Sofia – Vidin (by minibus - 3 hours) – Belogradchik

Early morning, after breakfast, around 08:30h departure to town of Vidin by minibus (245 km) Arriving in Vidin around 12:00h, at the Fortress-museum BABA VIDA (3rd-19thAD). Short tour of the fortress and time for pictures - 1 h). On the bikes for 52 km to the town of Belogradchik on a leveled terrain along the Danube via the village of Archar (Ulpia Ratsiaria - Ancient Roman - Emperor Aurelian's time - capital of the province Dakia Ripenzis) and the valley. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in the town of Belogradchik in a small cozy family hotel-mehana called Madona, uniquely decorated in folk style and named after a legend about the formation of one of the shapes of the Belogradchik rock formations.

DAY 3 - Belogradchik – Magurata Cave – Montana

After breakfast, around 9:00 h departure to the Belogradchik Rock formations – one of Bulgaria’s natural wonders (by minibus or on the bikes), close to the town. On the bikes or by minibus for 18 km to the Magurata cave, found near the village of Rabisha. Inside tour of the cave 40–60 min. By minibus to starting point for the day cycling – town of Dimovo (16 km form Magurata cave). On the bikes for 68 km to the city of Montana along the scenery route of the Danube Valley. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in the city Montana.

DAY 4 - Montana – Berkovitsa – Klisura Monastery/Spanchevtsi

After breakfast, around 9:00 h departure to the Klisura Monastery via the city of Berkovitsa. Lunch at the Monastery’s inn - MAGERNITZA. In the afternoon - optional biking in the area – in the foothills of the Western range of the Balkan Mountain and to the town of Varshets (30 km). Dinner and overnight options:
a) In the Klisura Monastery
b) In a bungalows village in the mountain area close to town of Spanchevtsi
c) In a 3 stars hotel in the mountain area close to town of Spanchevtsi

Lap bicycling: 36 km (66 km)

DAY 5 - Varshets – Vratsa – Overnight in the mountain

After breakfast, around 9:00 h departure to the city of Vatsa. Lunch on the way. In the afternoon - optional biking in the Vratsa Balkan Mountain top area (at altitude - about 1000 m).
Dinner and overnight options:
a) In a hotel-yogurt/cheese mandra (factory Zorov - very popular brand in Bulgaria) at the Vratsa Balkan Mountain top, with tasting of the famous Bulgarian white cheese and yogurt produced by Mr. Zorov
b) In a small mountaineers’ hotel in the Vratsa Balkan Mountain

Lap bicycling: 52 km (from the Klisura Monastery)

DAY 6 - Vratsa – Iskur Gorge / overnight in Sofia

After breakfast, around 9:00 h departure on bike to the Ledenika cave (5 km). Inside guided tour of the cave – 1 h. Continue biking (4 km) downhill from the mountaintop on a very curving road – real fun for those who wish a bit of action! On bike for 53 km along the Iskur Gorge - a beautiful scenery route. Along the way, a visit to the Cherepish Monastery. Lunch on the way. Minibus transfer to Sofia. Dinner and overnight in Sofia.

Lap bicycling: 53 km (from the Vratsa city)

DAY 7 – Departure

After breakfast, time for a short shopping tour along the main trade streets and/or bus transfer to Sofia International Airport for departure flight.
